WINTER SPORTS
Unlike the previous winter this one was really cold
and we had a lot of snow. Nevertheless, we liked it and tried to perform as
many sports activities, as we could. During P.E. classes pupils regularly practised
cross-country skiing and improved their skills. Some of them managed to achieve
excellent results. As you already know, we live in a beautiful countryside, so
our pupils went skiing and even ski jumping. We organised a winter sports day where
children chose between hiking, ice-skating and alpine skiing. They came
home tired but happy because they spent one more day outdoors not worrying
about their exams.
SHROVETIDE
It is a great custom in Slovenia and some other countries to organise a Shrovetide in order to scare grumpy winter and to greet warmer spring. We had a lot of work this year, because winter was long and harsh. Nevertheless, we succeeded and spring has finally arrived. Apart from water costumes we had some other ones, just to make the carnival more interesting...
